Open Question: Do I have to buy 2 japan railpasses for two people or can both of us travel on one?

It doesn't really say on the website. my guess is that its one pass per person but i wouldn't like to purchase two and find out later that only one is needed. We were planning on buying 2 14-day passes since we will be traveling to osaka,kyoto,nagano,kanazawa,tokyo,nagoya and we determined that the cheapest way to go all of theses places was to buy the pass. if there are any other cheap alternatives to travel to these places please help us out.... read more
